I’ve been running headshot workshops for actors for several years, for drama schools like R.A.D.A, for companies like The Stage and The Actors Guild, and at a range of industry events including Actor ExpoSurviving Actors, National Student Drama Festival and Edinburgh Fringe.

Not to forget Perform 2014, part of the enormous dance even Move It, where I’ll back this weekend for the fourth year running with two workshops.

Lasting 45 minutes each, we’ll be covering: casting types, what makes or breaks headshots, how photos can subtly show different sides of your casting, how to pose and relax in the session, what to wear, how to brief your photographer and choosing a portfolio fit for 2014.

Not to mention modern trends in the industry, like colour vs B&W, and how online casting is changing the headshot.

‘Take Control of Your Headshots’ session details:

12.30pm on Saturday 8th

1.30pm on Sunday 9th March 2014.

Details here.

Equity Business Skills Day

Perform is largely for actors at the very beginnings of a career, but in between the two sessions, I’ll be heading up to the Seven Dials Club in Soho to run a more targeted seminar and one-on-one ‘headshot heathcheck’ table session for members of the highly active S / SW Equity branch.

[important]One-on-one sessions provide impartial feedback on current headshots, discussion of casting range and career ambitions, and detailed, personalised advice on preparing for future sessions, whomever it might be with.[/important]

I was a member of the union throughout my acting career, so it’ll be  pleasure to give something back, working with actors who are already firmly established in the profession.

To discuss booking for one of these sessions for a Drama Institution or group, or for yourself just contact me.
